Week 4

I'm left wondering what happened after week that was not what I had hoped it would be.

I’m left wondering what happened after week that was not what I had hoped it would be.

With the long Easter weekend, this week seemed to go by very quickly indeed. I spent the vast majority of it working on plans for new initiatives, whilst keeping up some old favourites to keep the revenue coming in slowly but surely. Mystery shopping brought in a vast majority of my revenue for this week. It’s not that I actually did that much of it, but rather that I ended up doing a lot of assignments that were close to deadline or overdue, so was able to haggle a fair bit for higher fees. It hasn’t been a great week though, despite trying, I have made little progress forward with bigger plans due to hitting various obstacles that I didn’t foresee. This means the impact of them upon my goal gets pushed back and makes things that little bit harder. It is certainly still attainable, but it will need a real push now to get things ready as soon as possible. I also managed to get hold of a pair of new trainers for £13.00. I estimate that they should sell for at least that, hopefully a fair bit more, so have stuck them on eBay.

In Summary:

Rather eerily, it is an almost identical total to last week. I have just come short of my £200 target again. It is nothing to be too concerned about, but I am very conscious I need to be achieving higher amounts to be able to keep in touch with the goal and not get too far behind. The sources of revenue is what really worries me here, there are only 3 in this week. I need to broaden my horizons and diversify a little more. More sources of income will mean the growth can accelerate faster, particularly if I can make those sources of income passive ones. Much work to be done!

Revenues in Week 4:

Less expenses of £13.00, plus assets of £15.00:

Week 4 Total: £194.45

Running Total: £679.58

The Week Ahead:

I hope to get up and running with at least two new ideas this week which I aim to make into fairly long-running sources of income. I need to broaden the scope of the project and bring in some fresh new ideas to stop things stalling. Whilst it will be a week of putting new plans in place more than it will be of executing them, I hope to at least be able to slightly improve on last weeks total, and make around £250 this week.
